DEBATE AS AN ACTIVE LEARNING METHOD

Abstract

This article examines debate as an active learning method, emphasizing its role in the modern educational process. The theoretical foundations, the possibilities of developing learning outcomes and professional skills through debate are presented, and the possibility of using debate in the educational environment within the framework of various courses is considered. The article considers the role of debate in ensuring the active participation of learners, and also presents examples and scientific justifications of debate as an effective learning method. The methodological aspects of introducing debate, the role of the teacher in its organization, as well as the strengthening of critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills in learners as a result of using debate are analysed. At the end of the article, a conclusion is made that debate is not only a learning method, but also a strategic tool for the personal and professional development of learners.
