The aim of this article is to identify and analyze the features of implicit meaning and linguo-pragmatic manifestations in English-language business interviews from the perspective of cooperative and politeness principles. The analysis is based on authentic English-language business interviews.
The relevance of the topic is conditioned by the growth of English-language business communication in the context of globalization, where the use of linguo-pragmatic strategies significantly influences not only the success of communication but also the establishment of partnerships, producer–consumer relations, and the further development of the given business. Revealing the connection between utterances and their implicit meaning contributes to ensuring effective business communication, the integrity of the communicative process, and the fulfillment of post-communicative goals. This study is also important from the perspective of developing linguistic and cultural competence, as it supports the improvement of practical communication skills during the process of language learning.
