This article examines one of the most important issues in the theory of constitutional law — the study of issues of ensuring the territorial integrity of the state within the framework of individual international legal standards.
The article reveals the essence and features of the manifestation of the principle of territorial integrity in international legal acts in modern jurisprudence in the sphere of activities of states and other subjects of international law. The purpose of studying the topic is to take as a basis the features of the conducted research and the results obtained, within the framework of theoretical and legal views and teachings of lawyers on ensuring territorial integrity, the need to study issues of ensuring the territorial integrity of the state in the context of individual international legal standards, in order to study the international legal prerequisites for the formation, development, implementation and provision of this constitutional principle, as well as predicting their possible consequences and results.
Particular attention should be paid to issues related to the alleged contradiction between the equality of peoples and the right to self-determination and the sovereign right of the state on its territory. In addition, the results of the study will provide an opportunity to form a more detailed understanding of the relationship between the territorial integrity of the state and the equality of peoples and nations and the right to self-determination of the people in the modern conditions of the international legal order, as well as the priority of the latter, in particular, in the logic of the rule of law.
